What a Counseling Session Looks Like

1. Arrive & Ground

Counselor and client(s) check in emotionally, sets an intention for the session, and transitions into the barn environment.

2. Horse Interaction

The counselor introduces the activity- grooming, leading, obstacle navigation, etc.- tailored to the weeks therapeutic focus.

3. Process & Reflect

Counselor guides a debrief conversation, helping connect what happened with the horse to patterns in your real life.

4. Close & Transition

Session closes with a regulation activity, takeaway insight, and brief parent/guardian check-in if applicable.
